Course Description:

The AHA’s PALS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. This classroom, Instructor-led course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

Book:

A paper book will be available for use in class but is not included in the course fee. If you would like to purchase a paper book, you can purchase one at the following website https://shopcpr.heart.org/pals-provider-manual

Card:

An American Heart Association PALS Provider Card will be available within 5-20 business days. A letter stating the course has been successfully completed can be issued on the day of the course upon request.

Non-UT Health East Texas EMS and Air 1 employees must provide a copy of a current AHA PALS Card via email to Vicky.Lamay@uthet.com

  • $150.00 for the card course
  • $50.00 for 16 hours of EMS CE Credit Only

Cancellation and Refund Policy Summary:

  • Cancellations made within 60 days of payment date, will receive a 100% refund 
    • Cancellations made 60 days after payment date will not receive a refund and forfeit the full amount paid.
    • Refunds CANNOT be processed 60 days after payment date.
